1. Site Execution & Supervision

Core function: Ensure work is built correctly on site

• Supervise daily construction activities on-site
• Ensure works follow approved drawings, method statements, and specifications
• Coordinate with subcontractors, supervisors, and workers
• Monitor progress vs project schedule
• Ensure proper use of materials, machinery, and manpower

2. Technical Coordination

Core function: Bridge design and construction

• Interpret construction drawings (structural, architectural, M&E)
• Liaise with consultants (engineers, architects, QS)
• Raise RFI (Request for Information) for unclear drawings
• Coordinate design changes and site instructions
• Verify setting out and site measurements
• Material Submission for approval
• Shop Drawing preparation

3. Quality Control (QA/QC)

Core function: Maintain construction quality standards

• Ensure work complies with project specifications and standards
• Conduct site inspections and checklist verification
• Prepare and submit Inspection Request (IR) to consultants
• Monitor testing (concrete cube test, soil compaction, etc.)
• Rectify defects and ensure proper workmanship

4. Planning & Progress Monitoring

Core function: Keep project on schedule

• Assist in project planning and sequencing
• Track daily/weekly work progress
• Prepare progress reports (daily site report, weekly progress)
• Identify delays and propose mitigation actions

5. Material & Resource Management

Core function: Ensure site readiness

• Check material deliveries against specifications
• Monitor stock and usage of materials
• Coordinate with procurement team for timely supply
• Ensure proper storage and handling of materials

6. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

Core function: Prevent accidents and ensure compliance

• Enforce site safety procedures and PPE usage
• Conduct toolbox meetings and safety briefings
• Ensure compliance with Department of Occupational Safety and Health Malaysia requirements
• Report incidents and near-misses
• Maintain safe working environment

7. Documentation & Reporting

Core function: Maintain proper project records

• Prepare daily site reports and progress updates
• Record site activities, manpower, machinery usage
• Maintain drawing register and document control
• Assist in preparation of claims and variation orders (VO)

8. Measurement & Claims Support

Core function: Support financial progress

• Take site measurements for work done
• Assist Quantity Surveyor (QS) in progress claims
• Verify subcontractor work completion
• Support variation order (VO) documentation

9. Stakeholder Coordination

Core function: Ensure smooth communication

• Liaise with:
• Project Manager
• Consultants (Engineer, Architect, QS)
• Subcontractors
• Authorities (if required)
• Attend site meetings and technical discussions

10. Authority & Compliance (Malaysia Context)

• Ensure compliance with:
• Construction Industry Development Board Malaysia requirements
• Local authority approvals (Majlis Perbandaran)
• Approved method statements and permits

Job Type: Contract

Pay: RM4,300.00 - RM4,400.00 per month
