We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented
Procurement Assistant
to join our team. You will support day-to-day procurement activities, work closely with suppliers and internal departments and help ensure materials and services are sourced and delivered on time and at competitive prices.
Roles and Responsibilities
Assist with sourcing and obtaining quotations from local and overseas suppliers.
Prepare quotation comparisons and Purchase Orders (PO) for approval.
Follow up with suppliers on order status, delivery schedules and outstanding items.
Coordinate deliveries, logistics and shipment arrangements.
Perform document matching for PO, Delivery Order (DO) and Invoice.
Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier information and proper filing.
Update purchasing information in the ERP system and other procurement tools.
Liaise with suppliers and internal departments on day-to-day purchasing matters.
Requirements
ITE Certificate, Diploma in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or equivalent.
Relevant experience in purchasing/procurement is preferred, but fresh graduates and candidates without prior procurement experience are welcome to apply. Training will be provided.
Candidates with more relevant experience may be considered for a Procurement Executive / Senior position.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
Organised and detail-oriented with good record-keeping skills.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Responsible, proactive and a good team player.
