Job Purpose
The Planning Senior Executive is responsible for managing customer demand, production planning, machine capacity planning, inventory control, and order fulfilment to ensure On-Time Delivery (OTD) and optimal inventory levels. The role serves as the key coordination point between Sales, Production, Purchasing, and Logistics teams to ensure customer requirements are met while maximizing operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
1. Demand & Forecast Planning
Analyse customer forecasts and demand trends.
Follow up and maintain rolling customer demand forecasts.
Monitor forecast changes and identify potential risks and opportunities.
Coordinate with Sales and customers to improve forecast accuracy.
2. Machine Capacity Planning
Consolidate and monitor machine capacity across all subsidiaries.
Review machine capacity utilization against customer demand.
Work closely with Production to optimize machine utilization and resolve capacity constraints.
Support long-term capacity planning and expansion requirements.
3. Inventory Management
Monitor Raw Material, WIP, Finished Goods, and Consignment inventory levels.
Drive inventory reduction initiatives while maintaining customer service levels.
Identify slow-moving and excess inventory and recommend corrective actions.
Ensure inventory targets and KPIs are achieved.
4. Customer Order Fulfilment & OTD Management
Monitor customer demand against commitment plans.
Track and analyse On-Time Delivery (OTD) performance.
Coordinate recovery plans for delivery delays with Production, Purchasing, and Logistics teams.
Ensure customer requirements and delivery commitments are met.
5. Material Planning
Review and monitor material availability with Purchasing.
Identify material shortages and develop mitigation plans.
Monitor supplier lead times and material risk exposure.
Support material planning strategies to prevent stock-outs and excess inventory.
6. Reporting & KPI Monitoring
Prepare weekly and monthly planning reports.
Monitor key KPIs, including:
On-Time Delivery (OTD)
Forecast Accuracy
Inventory Turnover
Inventory Days
Order Fulfilment Rate
Capacity Utilization
Highlight risks and recommend corrective actions to management.
7. Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve planning processes and systems.
Support ERP/MRP optimization initiatives.
Drive data accuracy and process standardization across planning activities.
Participate in supply chain and planning improvement projects.
