Key Responsibilities
1. Quality Management System
- Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the Company's Quality Management System (QMS).
- Establish and maintain quality policies, procedures, work instructions and quality standards.
- Ensure effective control of quality documentation and records.
- Lead internal and external quality audits and coordinate corrective actions.
- Support the Company's ISO 9001 certification, surveillance and renewal activities.
- Promote a strong quality culture across the organization.
2. Manufacturing & Process Quality
- Lead quality assurance and quality control activities across manufacturing operations.
- Establish appropriate inspection, testing and process-control requirements.
- Monitor key quality indicators, including yield, defects, customer complaints, non-conformance and corrective-action performance.
- Work with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to identify root causes and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
- Drive reduction of process variation, defects, rework and scrap.
- Establish and monitor quality improvement targets and KPIs.
3. Customer Quality
- Act as a key quality interface with customers on quality-related matters.
- Manage customer complaints, quality investigations and corrective-action responses.
- Lead customer-related quality reviews, audits and improvement activities.
- Ensure timely and effective responses to customer quality requirements.
- Support new product introduction and customer qualification activities from a quality perspective.
4. Supplier Quality
- Establish supplier quality requirements and performance standards.
- Work with Supply Chain and Engineering teams to monitor supplier quality performance.
- Lead supplier corrective actions and improvement activities.
- Support supplier qualification, evaluation and audit activities.
- Monitor incoming material quality and supplier-related non-conformances.
5. Non-Conformance & Corrective Action
- Establish an effective process for managing internal and external non-conformances.
- Lead root-cause analysis using appropriate quality tools such as 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone and SPC.
- Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively and within agreed timelines.
- Verify the effectiveness of corrective actions and prevent recurrence.
6. Quality Data & Continuous Improvement
- Establish quality dashboards and management reporting.
- Analyse quality trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Lead continuous improvement projects using appropriate methodologies and quality tools.
- Drive data-based decision making across manufacturing and supporting functions.
- Report quality performance, risks and improvement plans to senior management.
7. Quality Audits & Compliance
- Plan and conduct internal quality audits.
- Coordinate customer, supplier and certification-body audits.
- Ensure timely closure of audit findings and corrective actions.
- Monitor applicable customer, industry and regulatory quality requirements.
- Maintain appropriate quality records and compliance documentation.
8. Team Leadership
- Lead, develop and mentor the Quality team.
- Establish clear objectives, KPIs and performance expectations.
- Develop team capability through training, coaching and knowledge sharing.
- Ensure adequate quality resources and competencies to support business growth.
- Promote cross-functional ownership of quality performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Science or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8–12 years of relevant quality experience, including management or leadership experience.
- Proven experience in quality management within semiconductor, precision engineering, advanced manufacturing or other high-technology manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Experience in manufacturing process quality, customer quality and supplier quality management.
- Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies, including 8D, FMEA, SPC, MSA, CAPA and root-cause analysis.
- Experience in conducting and managing internal, customer and external audits.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder-management capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional quality improvement initiatives.
- Experience managing and developing a quality team.
- Regional or multi-site quality experience will be advantageous.
