Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on and driven Senior / Equipment Engineer to join our engineering team in a manufacturing environment. This role will focus on equipment development, system integration, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement to support production efficiency and reliability.
The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop practical engineering solutions, improve equipment performance, and resolve technical issues in a dynamic production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop jigs, fixtures, and mechatronic systems using CAD.
Translate engineering requirements into reliable and repeatable equipment solutions.
Assemble, test, calibrate, and optimise equipment to meet performance and production targets.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues to minimise downtime.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Support automation and robotics-related projects, including system integration and improvement.
Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings and bills of materials.
Collaborate with production, engineering, quality, and external vendors to ensure timely project delivery.
Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, stability, and overall production efficiency.
Requirements
Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
2–5 years of relevant hands-on engineering experience.
Experience in troubleshooting
electronics and software-related issues
.
Experience in
designing and developing jigs and fixtures
.
Experience with
automation and robotics systems
.
Strong knowledge of mechanical design, precision engineering, and system integration.
Proficiency in CAD software.
Programming exposure in PLC, MCU, Python, LabVIEW, or similar platforms is advantageous.
Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
