As part of the Ascentium Group, Ascentium Max is looking for a detail-oriented Compliance Support Intern to join the team in Bukit Damansara, KL!

Intake: September

Role: Internship

Allowance: RM 1,000 / month

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with Know Your Customer (KYC) remediation activities, including verifying customer, director, shareholder, and beneficial ownership information against official source documents.
• Perform data comparison between internal KYC system records and external source documents in accordance with remediation guidelines.
• Update and maintain customer records and supporting documentation in the KYC system.
• Collate, organise, and upload documentation to ensure audit-ready records.
• Perform screening and public domain searches for adverse news. Training will be provided.
• Escalate discrepancies, data gaps, or any issues to designated reviewers in line with established escalation procedures.
• Maintain remediation monitoring logs and provide regular status updates.
• Work fully in the office from Monday to Friday.

Required Qualification & Skills:

• Basic understanding of Anti-Money Laundering (AML)/Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) and KYC concepts (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures.
• Proficient in basic office applications and internal systems (training will be provided).
• Good English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Able to work under supervision and comply with confidentiality and data protection requirements.
