Position highlights

Our client is expanding its operations in Kuala Lumpur and is establishing a new team to support its trading infrastructure. They are seeking a Linux Platform Engineer to join a dynamic environment focused on the deployment, maintenance, and support of critical trading systems.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot trading software applications on Linux environments.
• Provide primary support for trading platform applications and related infrastructure.
• Monitor hardware, servers, and network environments to ensure system availability.
• Configure and troubleshoot physical and virtual servers.
• Investigate and resolve Linux platform and application-related incidents.
• Participate in scheduled maintenance and weekend support rotations.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Linux administration, particularly Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Experience working in a Linux software product environment.
• Experience with application deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Good knowledge of Bash scripting and Linux command-line utilities such as awk, sed, grep, find, tar, and gzip.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience supporting low-latency trading applications is advantageous.
• RHCE certification is an added advantage.
• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
