Job Summary

The Sound Technician is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining audio equipment to ensure high-quality sound for live events, meetings, and recordings. This role focuses on the technical and operational aspects of audio production, supporting smooth execution before, during, and after each event.

Key Responsibilities

1. To set up, test, and operate microphones, amplifiers, speakers, mixing consoles, and other audio equipment before and during events

2. Ensure sound checks and audio levels are properly balanced.

3. Monitor and adjust sound quality throughout events or recordings.

4. Troubleshoot equipment issues quickly and efficiently.

5. Maintain and store audio equipment in good working condition.

6. Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.

Requirements

• Diploma or Certificate in Audio Technology, Sound Engineering, or related field.

• Minimum 1–2 years' experience in event audio setup or live sound operation.

• knowledge of handling microphones, mixers, amplifiers, and signal flow.

• Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to technical issues.

• Willingness to work irregular hours, weekends, and public holidays.
