Establish, optimize, and standardize operational parameters across all cable manufacturing processes.
Drive process control and yield improvement initiatives to minimize compound/polymer giveaway and metallic scrap (copper and aluminum).
Lead root-cause analysis (RCA, 8D, Fishbone) for process-related defects.
Partner with Engineering and QA to conduct trials, Design of Experiments (DOE), and qualifications for new raw materials, compound formulations, and tooling designs (dies/tips).
Champion continuous improvement and Lean Six Sigma methodologies to eliminate process bottlenecks, enhance line speeds, and reduce conversion costs.
Develop, update, and audit Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), technical datasheets, and work instructions for machine operators and technical personnel.
Mentor, train, and upskill process engineers, technicians, and machine operators on technical machine setup and process troubleshooting.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Materials, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
Minimum 5–8 years of hands-on process engineering experience in cable and wire manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a managerial or lead capacity.
Deep technical knowledge of continuous polymer extrusion (XLPE, PVC, LSOH), wire drawing dies, stranding configurations, and cable testing standards (IEC, BS, MS).
Strong background in Lean Manufacturing, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and process capability enhancement (Six Sigma certification is a plus).
Proven track record in scrap reduction, material cost optimization, and yield enhancement.
Strong leadership, data-driven analytical mindset, and effective communication skills across all plant levels.
