About the Role

We are seeking an experienced .NET Core Developer to join our Software Engineering team, responsible for analyzing, designing, building, and testing software modules and interfaces that meet functional and business requirements. This role requires strong hands-on development expertise, solid analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate closely with stakeholders through the full development lifecycle — from low-level design through code review and pre-SIT testing. Hands-on experience with WebSphere MQ is mandatory for this role.

Key Responsibilities

Analysis & Design

• Perform analysis on current system behavior and document low-level design for functional requirements that meet defined acceptance criteria.
• Perform data analysis and identify data gaps with interfacing applications required to fulfill functional requirements.
• Translate business and functional requirements into technical design specifications.

Development & Build

• Develop and configure software modules, interfaces, and components using ASP.NET Core/MVC with C#.
• Build and consume Web APIs, applying Entity Framework for data access and ORM.
• Integrate with messaging systems using WebSphere MQ for enterprise application integration.
• Design and optimize database interactions using MS SQL Server.
• Perform unit testing and introduce/maintain coding best practices and standards.

Quality & Collaboration

• Interact with various stakeholders (business analysts, QA, architects, cross-functional teams) to finalize code reviews and coordinate Pre-SIT (System Integration Testing) activities.
• Support defect resolution and troubleshoot issues identified during code review, unit testing, and pre-SIT phases.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, coding standards, and delivery quality.

Required Skills & Experience

Mandatory

• Hands-on experience in .NET Core development.
• Strong programming expertise in ASP.NET Core/MVC using C#.
• Experience developing and consuming Web APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Entity Framework for data access.
• Mandatory hands-on experience with WebSphere MQ — this is a critical requirement for this role.
• Strong database skills with MS SQL Server (query design, optimization, stored procedures).
• Solid understanding of low-level design documentation and functional requirement analysis.
• Experience conducting data gap analysis with interfacing applications.

Preferred Technical Skills

• Experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., xUnit, NUnit, MSTest).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).
• Exposure to microservices architecture and RESTful API design principles.
• Understanding of enterprise integration patterns and messaging systems.
