Senior Software Engineer - Java/Kotlin – Singapore - Contract 12+ months

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team, working on complex, mission‑critical systems in the financial domain. This role requires strong technical depth, problem‑solving ability, and the drive to deliver scalable, stable solutions.

What you’ll do:

• Develop and deliver solutions using Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, MySQL, Oracle, IBM MQ.
• Translate business and system requirements into robust technical architectures.
• Analyse and resolve complex legacy defects that require advanced technical insight.
• Ensure adherence to coding, security, and performance standards.
• Collaborate in Agile teams (Scrum/XP), driving end‑to‑end delivery from design to production.
• Investigate and resolve production issues, maintaining stability under pressure.

What we’re looking for:

• Strong expertise in Core Java, Kotlin, JUnit, Spring Boot.
• Solid CS fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, OOP.
• Experience with TDD, REST/SOAP services, SQL optimization, messaging (JMS/MQ).
• Familiarity with DevOps, AWS cloud, CI/CD, containerisation.
• Exposure to tools such as IntelliJ, Git, SonarQube/SonarLint.
• Desirable skills: JBOSS, JPA/EJB, Kafka, ReactJS.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and teamwork skills.
