Hiring: Linux Engineer – Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

We are looking for an experienced Linux Engineer with strong expertise in Linux infrastructure, network security, firewall technologies, and deployment/implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, implement, and maintain Linux-based infrastructure.
• Administer and troubleshoot NixOS, RHEL, GUIX, and Immutable OS environments.
• Perform Linux OS deployment, configuration, hardening, patching, and upgrades.
• Manage nftables and IPtables, including firewall rules and security policies.
• Implement security zoning, network segmentation, and stateful firewall configurations.
• Work on Layer 2 Routing & Switching (R&S) and troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
• Configure and support enterprise firewalls including Cisco, FortiGate, Check Point, and Palo Alto.
• Monitor and troubleshoot Linux, network, and security-related issues.
• Collaborate with Network, Security, DevOps, and Infrastructure teams during deployments and implementations.
• Prepare technical documentation, configurations, and operational procedures.

Must-Have Skills

• 8+ years of Linux Engineering experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux OS
• NixOS / RHEL / GUIX / Immutable OS
• nftables & IPtables
• L2 Routing & Switching
• Firewall: Cisco / FortiGate / Check Point / Palo Alto
• Stateful Firewall & Security Zoning
• Linux security and system hardening
• Strong troubleshooting and deployment/implementation experience
