Purchasing Executive

Our client is looking for a Purchasing Executive to manage supplier relationships, negotiate pricing and delivery terms, monitor inventory levels, and ensure smooth procurement operations. This role is suitable for candidates who are able to work independently, handle multiple procurement tasks, and communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams.

Requirements
- Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Business Administration, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or an equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory control, or supply chain.
- Hands-on experience in supplier sourcing, stock counts, and inventory control.
- Experience in price negotiation, vendor management, and procurement processes is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Strong negotiation, communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
- Well-organised, detail-oriented, and responsible.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks within deadlines.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Mandarin is preferred for communication with Mandarin-speaking suppliers.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupplier Sourcing & Management
- Source, identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and continuous supply.
- Evaluate supplier performance regularly to ensure compliance with company requirements and quality standards.
- Maintain strong working relationships with suppliers.
- Monitor supplier pricing, market trends, and alternative sourcing opportunities.
Purchasing & Negotiation
- Process purchase requests, obtain quotations, and issue Purchase Orders (POs).
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve overall procurement efficiency.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Inventory Management
- Conduct regular stock counts and inventory reconciliation to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate stock replenishment.
- Prevent stock shortages and overstock situations through effective inventory monitoring.
Procurement Documentation
- Prepare and maintain procurement documentation and transaction records.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, delivery notes, and other relevant documents.
- Ensure purchasing records are properly updated and organised.
Coordination & Problem Solving
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth procurement operations.
- Resolve supplier-related issues and delivery discrepancies promptly and professionally.
- Monitor procurement matters and coordinate with relevant parties to ensure timely resolution.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.
Working Hours
Monday – Saturday (5.5 days per week)
8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: Sungai Besi, Kuala Lumpur.
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
