Job Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance to requirements of DOSH, Health Ministry, DOE and other government agencies on safety, health and environmental issues.
- Enforce company safety policies, procedures and applicable local health & safety regulations.
- Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
- Ensure corrective actions are implemented for unsafe conditions or practices.
- Deliver site safety inductions, toolbox talks and safety training to workers and subcontractors.
- Monitor high-risk activities such as working at height, lifting operations, hot works, and confined space entry.
- Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all site personnel.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare incident reports and recommend preventive measures.
- Maintain safety records, permits, inspection checklists, and compliance documentation.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and supervisors to integrate safety into daily operations.
- Coordinate and lead emergency response team during accidents and or emergencies to bring the matters under control and close the matters
- Handle and monitor general worker issues and report findings to the Head of Department (HOD).
- Assist in emergency response planning and conduct emergency drills.
- Ensure safety signage, barricades, and fire-fighting equipment are in place and maintained.
- Prepare Risk Assessment (RA), Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) when required.
Qualifications & Job Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Health & Safety or any related field.
- Registered Safety & Health Officer (SHO) with Green Book certification (DOSH/JKKP registered) is compulsory.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA 1994, FMA Act and DOSH guidelines.
- Experience in high-rise building and/or residential construction projects is highly preferred.
- Candidates with experience in high-rise residential building construction will be an added advantage.
- Good leadership, communication and report writing skills.
- Able to work independently and handle multiple site safety matters
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
