Our client, a leading data centre developer/ operator, has instructed us to find a project director for the South East Asia region.

Project Director, South East Asia (Data centre)

Location: Malaysia or Singapore

Responsibilities:

You would play a crucial role in overseeing the successful execution of data center projects across South East Asia region. Here are some key requirements and responsibilities for this role:

Project Management: As a project manager, you will take charge of various projects, ensuring they remain on course, meet deadlines, and achieve their intended goals.

Stakeholder Communication: Effective communication with stakeholders, team members, and other relevant parties is paramount. You’ll provide regular updates, address concerns, and maintain alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

Resource Allocation: Managing resources—both human and material—is essential. You’ll allocate budgets, assign team members, and optimize project resources to maximize efficiency.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identifying potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them is a crucial aspect of your role. This proactive approach ensures smooth project execution and minimizes disruptions.

Quality Assurance: Ensuring that project deliverables meet quality standards is critical. You’ll oversee testing, reviews, and adherence to best practices to guarantee successful outcomes.

Health and Safety: You will ensure projects meet health and safety standards.

Leadership and Team Management: As a project director, you’ll lead project teams, inspire collaboration, and foster a positive work environment that encourages productivity and growth.

Requirements:

Deep Understanding of Data Centers

Project Management: Proficiency in project management methodologies, including planning, execution, monitoring, and risk management.

Leadership and Communication Skills:

Team Management: Ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage resources, and ensure project milestones are met.

Effective Communication: Strong communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams.

Strategic Vision:

Alignment with Business Goals: Develop a strategic vision for data center projects that aligns with business objectives.

Regulatory Compliance and Security:

Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to data centers (e.g., environmental standards, safety regulations).
