Responsibilities

Network Security Engineer

Experience: 5+ years

Mandatory Language Required: JLPT N1/N2 and English

Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Network Security Engineer with a strong foundation in network security principles and practices. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Cisco networking technologies, particularly with a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing security measures to protect our network infrastructure from potential threats and vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain network security solutions to safeguard the organization's data and infrastructure.
  • Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability testing to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.
  • Provide technical support and guidance on network security issues to internal teams.
  • Stay updated on the latest security trends, threats, and technology solutions.
  • Document security policies, procedures, and incident reports for compliance and auditing purposes.
  • Participate in security training and awareness programs for employees.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Cisco networking technologies and protocols.
  • Valid Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification is a deal breaker.
  • Experience with firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security technologies.
  • Proficient in network monitoring and analysis tools.
  • Solid understanding of network security frameworks and best practices.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with security compliance standards (eg, ISO 27001, NIST).
  • Knowledge of cloud security principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (eg, Python, Bash) for automation tasks.
  • Experience with incident response and forensic analysis.
  • Certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are a plus.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5 7 years of experience in network security engineering or a related role.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment.
