Key Accountabilities:

QA and Standards Compliance

• Stay on-top to the EU regulation / legislation update
• Ensure products meet the required quality, legal, and safety requirements, fit their intended purpose, and meet customer expectations
• Handle customer complaints, investigate the root causes and provide preventive measures

Product Validation

• Set-up, review and optimize product specifications in conjunction with the business plan and development
• Support and facilitate Global Sourcing team in evaluating BILTEMA products against BOM and product specifications, packaging materials, and certification and testing requirements during item review
• Execute and monitor verification of incoming product samples to confirm quality conformance to specifications, technical and performance deliverables
• Verifying components and materials specifications against BOM and product specifications down to the component level

Requirements:

• University / College degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic Engineering is preferred
• 3 to 5 years working experience in quality assurance, manufacturing, testing or product development, in sourcing office / laboratory environment
• Good knowledge of product development and verification process, supplier development, defect analysis
• Good knowledge of EU legislation / requirements in General Merchandise / Bike / Toys / Car Tools and Accessories
• Experience with product risk assessment and fit for use testing is preferred
• Competent in problem-solving and root cause analysis (8D)
• Travel to factories as required
• Fluent in written and spoken English & Mandarin, excellent communication skills and good commercial awareness
• Platform front end and back-end knowledge, including database management
• Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Quality Engineer

Pay: $20,000.00 - $25,000.00 per month
