Role overview

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Manager, Operations to lead operational excellence initiatives and drive business performance across our operations function. You will oversee operational planning, process optimisation, compliance, and stakeholder management while leading teams to deliver high-quality operational outcomes.

This role is ideal for a strong operations leader with experience in operations management, business process improvement, performance management, and cross-functional leadership.

Key responsibilities

Operations management

• Lead and manage day-to-day operational activities across assigned business functions.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and service delivery.
• Drive operational excellence initiatives and continuous improvement programmes.
• Monitor operational performance and implement corrective actions where required.

Business process improvement

• Review and enhance operational processes and workflows.
• Identify opportunities for automation, standardisation, and productivity improvements.
• Lead change management initiatives to support operational transformation.

Governance, risk, and compliance

• Ensure compliance with organisational policies, regulatory requirements, and operational standards.
• Oversee operational risk assessments and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
• Manage internal controls, audit readiness, and compliance reporting activities.

Performance management

• Establish and monitor operational KPIs and performance metrics.
• Analyse operational data to support decision-making and business planning.
• Prepare management reports and operational performance updates for senior leadership.

Leadership and stakeholder management

• Lead, coach, and develop operations teams to achieve business objectives.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure effective operational coordination.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience

• At least 8–10 years of relevant operations management experience.
• Proven experience in process improvement, operational excellence, performance management, and team leadership.
• Experience managing cross-functional operational initiatives and business transformation projects.
• Familiarity with governance, compliance, and operational risk management practices.

Skills and competencies

• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong project management and change management capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with operational reporting and analytics tools is an advantage.
