Job Description:

• Developing new business across sizes and areas
• Managing existing clients
• Negotiations and fixing of charter parties
• Worldwide communication with satellite offices, brokers, agents, owners and charterers
• Following performance of voyages and work closely with Operations Department
• Traveling to meet new and existing Clients, as well as participating in various events
• Setting up and executing strategies fitting long term view of the Company
• Taking lead and ownership on new projects

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Maritime Studies or related field, or equivalent relevant experience/ apprenticeship
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required to effectively communicate with internal teams and international stakeholders in a global business environment.
• Proficiency in Japanese (spoken and written) is required to effectively communicate and negotiate with Japanese-speaking clients and stakeholders in the steel industry.
• Aptitude to negotiate and close business deals
• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Adaptable to an international working environment
• Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients
• Expertise in international shipping and contract law is essential
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly for business purposes, as required by the role
