Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor (QS) to support the commercial and contractual management of 230kV Transmission Cable Infrastructure Projects in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for quantity take-offs, cost estimation, budgeting, contract administration, procurement support, progress claims, variation management, and cost control while ensuring compliance with project specifications and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and cost estimates.
- Evaluate tender documents, drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements.
- Prepare project budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts.
- Administer contracts, variations, claims, and final accounts.
- Evaluate subcontractor quotations and recommend award of work packages.
- Monitor project costs and prepare monthly cost reports.
- Verify contractor progress claims and payment certifications.
- Coordinate procurement activities and material cost evaluations.
- Maintain commercial records, project documentation, and contractual correspondence.
- Support Project Managers with commercial advice and cost optimization.
- Participate in project meetings and provide commercial updates.
- Ensure compliance with contract conditions and company procedures.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
Experience
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction, infrastructure, or EPC projects.
- Experience in cost estimation, contract administration, and commercial management.
- Knowledge of variation orders, progress claims, subcontract management, and final accounts.
- Experience with utility, transmission, underground cable, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
- Familiarity with Singapore construction contracts and commercial practices is an advantage.
