Role Description The Account Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This role includes managing client accounts, preparing and reviewing bookkeeping records, supporting tax compliance documentation, and assisting in financial reporting and analysis. The Account Executive will coordinate with clients to gather required information, maintain accurate accounting data in cloud-based systems, and support business incorporation, licensing, and payroll processes. Daily tasks also involve monitoring deadlines, ensuring adherence to Malaysian statutory requirements, and collaborating with internal team members to deliver consistent, client-focused service.

Qualifications

• Strong accounting and bookkeeping abilities, including experience with general ledger management and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with Malaysian tax compliance, advisory practices, and statutory filings such as EPF, SOCSO, EIS, and PCB.
• Proficiency in cloud accounting platforms (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Zoho Books) and comfort working with multi-currency transactions.
• Effective client relationship and communication skills, including the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-specialist audiences.
• Solid organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and reliability in meeting deadlines.
• Ability to work on-site in Kuala Lumpur and collaborate in a small team environment with a service-oriented mindset.
• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, or similar) is an advantage.
• Prior experience in an accounting firm or business advisory environment, especially with SMEs or startups, is beneficial.
