Project Design and Execution
- Lead the planning and detailed design of utilities corridors and utility diversion schemes for infrastructure and civil engineering projects.
- Perform utility impact assessments and propose diversion, protection, or relocation solutions.
- Review utility survey data, utility records, and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) findings.
- Support design development from feasibility and concept stages through detailed design and construction.
- Prepare detailed drawings and specifications using industry-standard software and tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Project Management
- Manage assigned utility design packages and ensure timely delivery. Monitor schedules and resource requirements.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to align project goals and expectations.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols.
Leadership and Team Collaboration
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams.
- Foster a collaborative work environment and promote knowledge sharing within the team.
- Participate in training and mentoring. Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Ensure designs comply with statutory requirements, utility agency standards, and project specifications, including environmental and safety standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for potential project challenges.
- Review and approve engineering designs, reports, and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Client and Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and updates to clients and stakeholders.
- Address client concerns and provide innovative solutions to meet project objectives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 – 8 years of experience in utility engineering, utilities corridor design, or utility diversion works, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale projects.
- Experience in major transportation, rail, road, infrastructure, or urban development projects.
- Practical experience with utility agency approval processes in Singapore. Proven experience with IPAG submissions and approval management is an advantage.
- Proficiency in civil engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS Pro, or similar tools.
- Experience in BIM coordination and clash detection tools is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients and teams
