The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the complete lifecycle of data centre fit-out projects, particularly fiber optic infrastructure, structured cabling, containment systems, white space deployments, testing & commissioning, and customer handover.

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Sales / Business Development Responsibilities:

Support pre-sales activities by conducting site surveys, preparing technical proposals, developing project cost estimates and quotations, identifying project risks, and recommending cost-effective engineering solutions prior to project award.

Project Management

Manage Data Centre Fit-Out projects simultaneously.
Plan project execution from award to final handover.
Prepare project schedules and monitor milestones.
Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
Monitor project costs, productivity and profitability
Lead project meetings with clients, consultants and internal stakeholders.
Manage project risks and implement mitigation plans.

Data Centre Infrastructure Delivery

Manage and oversee:

• White Space deployment
• Data Hall infrastructure
• Fibre pathways
• Backbone fibre installation
• Cross-connect installations
• Inter-building fibre infrastructure
• Campus fibre backbone
• Rack-to-rack fibre connectivity
• Fibre patching and migration
• Equipment rack installation
• Fibre raceways
• Cable containment systems
• Ladder racks
• Basket trays
• Underfloor and overhead cabling systems

Fibre Infrastructure

Lead delivery of:

• Single Mode Fibre installation
• Multi Mode Fibre installation
• MPO trunk systems
• High Density Fibre Systems
• Fibre splicing / Fusion splicing
• Ribbon fibre
• Microcore fibre
• Fibre patch panels
• ODF installation
• Fibre termination
• OTDR Testing
• IL Testing
• End-to-End Certification
• Fibre Labelling
• Fibre Documentation / As-built drawings

Client Management

• Act as the primary point of contact.
• Attend project coordination meetings.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports.
• Present project progress updates.
• Resolve technical issues.
• Manage customer expectations.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction.

Commercial Management

• Monitor project budgets.
• Track variation orders.
• Review subcontractor claims.
• Support procurement activities.
• Monitor material delivery schedules.
• Assist contract administration.
• Support project claims and final accounts.

Quality Management

Ensure compliance with:

• Customer Specifications
• OEM Installation Standards
• BICSI Best Practices
• TIA Standards
• ISO Requirements
• Company QA/QC Procedures

Lead:

• Internal inspections
• Testing & Commissioning
• Defect Rectification
• Final Handover

Safety Management

Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with:

• Workplace Safety & Health (WSH)
• MOM Regulations
• Risk Assessments
• Permit-to-Work
• Work at Height
• Electrical Safety
• Lifting Operations
• Data Centre Safety Requirements

Requirements

Degree or Diploma

Minimum 5-10 years experience in:

• Data Centre Construction
• Mission Critical Facilities
• Fibre Optic Infrastructure
• Structured Cabling
• Telecommunications
• ICT Infrastructure
• ELV Systems

Minimum 5 years in project management or leadership.

Experience with hyperscale or colocation data centres is highly preferred.

Technical Knowledge

Strong understanding of:

• Carrier Interconnection
• MMR Infrastructure
