Task and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to understand requirements and define effective test strategies.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and API testing.
• Execute functional, regression, and integration testing to ensure product quality and stability.
• Integrate and maintain automated tests within GitHub-based CI/CD pipelines.
• Identify, log, and track defects, and support resolution with development teams. Validate backend processes, APIs, and database integrity.
• Work within cloud-based development environments (e.g., SAP BAS) for testing and validation.
• Contribute to test framework maintenance and improvements.
• Support test data setup and containerized execution using Docker.

Skills and Qualifications

• Expert Level (2-5 Years)
• Proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript or similar programming language.
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Cypress or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of test automation concepts, STLC, and Agile practices.
• Experience in API testing and REST services validation.
• Working knowledge of GitHub (version control + CI/CD pipelines). - Familiarity with Docker.
• Ability to write SQL queries for data validation.
• Good analytical and debugging skills.
• Experience with modern automation tools (e.g., Playwright).
• Exposure to enterprise platforms or system integrations.
• Basic understanding of ABAP or backend enterprise technologies.
• Experience in microservices-based architectures.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field.

Preferred certifications: -

• ISTQB Foundation Level
• Agile Testing certification
• Automation tool certifications (optional)
