Lead, manage and develop the Test Engineering team, including manpower planning, performance management, technical development and succession planning.
Develop and execute electrical, optical, functional and system-level test strategies for semiconductor and optical products.
Lead test engineering activities throughout NPI, product characterization, qualification, production ramp and sustaining phases.
Develop, validate, release and optimize ATE, automated test systems, test fixtures, test hardware and software.
Establish test specifications, test coverage, test methods, calibration requirements and acceptance criteria.
Support optical testing and characterization including optical power, wavelength, insertion loss, return loss, BER, eye diagram and other optical performance parameters, where applicable.
Support RF & Wireless testing including final test, functional test, parametric test and system-level test, where applicable.
Drive Design for Testability (DFT) and early testability engagement with R&D and product design teams.
Lead test correlation, characterization, validation and GR&R/MSA activities to ensure test accuracy and repeatability.
Monitor and improve yield, test time, test coverage, equipment utilization, first-pass yield and test cost.
Lead structured failure analysis, RCA, CAPA and continuous improvement activities for test-related issues.
Drive automation and data analytics initiatives to improve test efficiency, traceability and production intelligence.
Ensure test equipment and infrastructure are properly qualified, calibrated and maintained.
Support NPI transfer and manufacturing readiness, including test station setup, documentation, training and production release.
Work closely with Quality, Manufacturing and Process Engineering teams to resolve production issues and improve product reliability.
Manage technical relationships with external suppliers, equipment vendors, OSAT/CM partners and customers when required.
Establish standard test methodologies, best practices and engineering standards across the organization.
Provide technical leadership and management reporting on test performance, risks, yield, quality and improvement projects.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Semiconductor Engineering, Optical/Photonics Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics or a related discipline.
Minimum 8–12 years of relevant experience in semiconductor, optical, photonics, electronics manufacturing or test engineering, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership/management role.
Strong experience in test engineering, product engineering, manufacturing test or test development.
Hands-on experience with ATE, automated test systems, test fixtures and test equipment.
Experience in RF & Wireless testing, optical testing, photonics or optoelectronic products will be highly advantageous.
Strong knowledge of SPC, MSA/GR&R, DOE, RCA, FMEA, CAPA and statistical/data analysis.
Experience in NPI, product qualification, production ramp and sustaining engineering.
Strong problem-solving, analytical and project management skills.
Good understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems and engineering change management.
Strong leadership and people-management capabilities with the ability to build and develop high-performing engineering teams.
