Job Summary

We are seeking a mid-level Automation Test Engineer with banking domain experience to design, develop, and execute automated tests for web, mobile, and API-based banking applications. The role involves working closely with developers, business analysts, and product teams to ensure reliable, secure, and high-quality releases.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API applications.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Review business requirements and user stories to prepare test scenarios and test cases.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform API testing and validate request, response, database, and system integrations.
• Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA or similar tools.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and work with developers to resolve defects.
• Maintain test data, automation frameworks, and reusable testing components.
• Prepare test execution reports, defect summaries, and quality metrics.
• Participate in Agile activities, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Ensure testing complies with banking security, data privacy, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of software testing experience, including at least 2 years in automation testing.
• Experience testing banking or financial-services applications.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or similar tools.
• Programming knowledge in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or C#.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
• Good knowledge of SQL and database validation.
• Familiarity with test frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, or Pytest.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum, SDLC, STLC, and defect-management processes.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with internet banking, mobile banking, payments, cards, loans, or core banking systems.
• Knowledge of BDD, data-driven, keyword-driven, or hybrid automation frameworks.
• Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Familiarity with cloud-based testing platforms and container technologies.
• Understanding of banking security, transaction flows, and regulatory compliance.
