Our client is a global organization building a new Global Engineering Organization (GEO) to strengthen internal software delivery, improve production ownership, and build long-term engineering capability. They are now looking for a Senior DBA / Data Platform Engineer to own and improve the reliability, performance, and operational excellence of business-critical database platforms.

This is a hands-on technical role based in Singapore, working closely with engineering, DevOps, infrastructure, and business stakeholders. The role focuses on ensuring stability and performance of SQL Server environments while supporting ongoing software delivery and data platform needs.

Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• At least 5+ years experience in DBA or data platform engineering roles
• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server in production environments
• Expertise in performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization
• Experience with backup, recovery, HA/DR strategies
• Experience with AlwaysOn, replication, or failover technologies
• Experience supporting production incidents and root cause analysis
• Ability to review database designs and migrations with engineering teams
• Knowledge of database security, access control, and data integrity
• Experience with ETL processes and data integrations
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira, or Git
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
