Job Description

• Coordinate all confined space work activities in accordance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and company procedures.
• Plan and schedule confined space entries with project teams, supervisors, and contractors.
• Ensure Confined Space Entry Permits (CSEP) are properly completed, approved, and displayed before work begins.
• Coordinate with the Confined Space Safety Assessor (CSSA) to ensure risk assessments and atmospheric testing are conducted.
• Verify that all personnel entering confined spaces hold valid certifications and are medically fit where required.
• Ensure appropriate rescue equipment, gas detection instruments, PPE, and emergency response arrangements are in place before entry.
• Monitor confined space operations to ensure compliance with safe work procedures and permit conditions.
• Maintain records of permits, inspections, gas testing results, training, and incident reports.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, supervisors, and rescue teams to ensure smooth execution of confined space activities.
• Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and assist in incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Ensure all confined space work complies with Singapore WSH legislation and company safety standards.

Requirements

• Diploma or Certificate in Workplace Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Possess valid WSQ Confined Space Supervisor certification (mandatory).
• Confined Space Safety Assessor (CSSA) certification is an added advantage.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience coordinating or supervising confined space operations in construction, marine, oil & gas, petrochemical, manufacturing, or utilities.
• Strong knowledge of:WSH (Confined Spaces) RegulationsPermit-to-Work (PTW) systemRisk Assessment (RA)Safe Work Procedures (SWP)Gas detection and atmospheric monitoringEmergency rescue planning
• Good organisational, communication, and coordination skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Able to work independently and under pressure.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, and at multiple project sites when required.
