Malabar Grill & Biryani Co. is looking for a proactive and results-driven Sales Assistant Manager to lead front-of-house operations while driving restaurant sales and delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, has strong leadership skills, and is committed to achieving sales targets while ensuring an outstanding dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the daily front-of-house restaurant operations.

• Drive sales growth through excellent customer engagement and upselling strategies.

• Develop and implement sales initiatives to increase dine-in, takeaway, catering, and online delivery sales.

• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance and recommend improvement strategies.

• Ensure excellent customer service and promptly resolve customer feedback or complaints.

• Supervise and motivate service staff to achieve individual and team sales targets.

• Train, coach, and evaluate front-of-house team members.

• Ensure all online food delivery orders are processed accurately and efficiently.

• Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service during peak hours.

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food presentation, and service quality.

• Monitor customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business.

• Assist in planning and executing promotional campaigns, seasonal offers, and marketing activities.

• Work closely with the management team to improve operational efficiency and profitability.

• Prepare daily sales reports and analyse business performance.

• Ensure compliance with company SOPs, hygiene standards, and workplace safety regulations.

• Manage staff scheduling and daily manpower allocation when required.

• Perform any other duties assigned by Management.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Business, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in restaurant, retail, or hospitality management.

• Proven experience in sales development and customer service.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and POS systems.

• Willing to work weekends, public holidays, and rotating shifts.

• Sales-driven with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing food delivery platforms.

• Knowledge of restaurant operations and customer service standards.

• Experience in digital marketing or promotional campaigns is an advantage.

• Ability to analyse sales data and identify business opportunities.

• Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
