Job Summary:

The Quote Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive quotations, cost estimations, and commercial proposals based on customer requirements. The role acts as a bridge between customers, sales, engineering, procurement, and production teams to ensure quotations are technically feasible, commercially viable, and submitted within the required timeline.

Job Description

• Review customer enquiries, specifications, drawings, and RFQs (Request for Quotations).
• Prepare detailed cost calculations including materials, labor, subcontracting, tooling, logistics, and overhead costs.
• Generate accurate quotations and commercial proposals within the stipulated timeline.
• Ensure pricing complies with company profitability targets and pricing strategies.
• Maintain quotation records and costing databases.
• Analyze technical requirements and identify project scope.
• Clarify technical specifications with customers when necessary.
• Coordinate with engineering and production departments to assess manufacturing feasibility.
• Recommend alternative solutions that meet customer requirements while optimizing costs.
• Support the Sales team in responding to customer enquiries.
• Attend customer meetings when technical clarification is required.
• Follow up on submitted quotations and provide revisions as requested.

Job Requirement

• NITEC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• We are open to candidates with no experience
• Able to work under pressure with tight deadlines
• Positive attitude and ability to communicate well with all levels
• Good communication and interpersonal skills in a multi-cultural work environment
• Meticulous and detailed in job assignments
• Relevant manufacturing experience in a production environment
• Candidates with extensive experience will be considered for a senior position
• Project management skills will be advantageous
