Job Description & Requirements

Job Summary

The Civil Construction Project Engineer plans, coordinates, and oversees civil construction projects to ensure safe, timely, and budget-compliant delivery while meeting quality and client standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise civil construction project activities to achieve project milestones and quality standards
• Review project drawings, technical specifications, and engineering documents to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Collaborate with project managers, site managers, supervisors, subcontractors, and consultants to align project objectives and resolve issues
• Monitor project progress regularly to ensure work is completed according to schedule and budget
• Conduct site inspections to verify construction quality and compliance with design and safety requirements
• Enforce adherence to safety regulations and company safety policies on site to maintain a safe working environment
• Prepare and maintain detailed project reports, documentation, and progress updates for stakeholders
• Manage site materials, equipment, and manpower to optimize resource utilization and maintain workflow
• Assist in diagnosing and resolving technical issues and site construction problems promptly to minimize delays
• Ensure project deliverables meet client requirements and engineering standards through continuous quality control

Required competencies and certifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in civil construction or project engineering
• Proficient knowledge of construction methods, materials, and project management principles
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications accurately
• Good understanding of construction safety standards and regulations

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience in building construction, infrastructure, or structural projects
• Knowledge of construction planning and project scheduling techniques
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, project management software, or engineering tools
