Export Manager

Our client is a leading food manufacturer with an extensive range of products across multiple categories. They are looking for an Export Manager. This role is responsible for driving commercial growth across both existing and new markets. The successful candidate will maximize the performance of established distributor partnerships while leading the strategic and commercial development of new territories.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage partnerships with distributors, buyers, and partners across multiple markets by adapting strategies to each market’s structure to drive growth
• Develop go-to-market strategies that align products and brand positioning with local consumer needs to increase market share
• Lead the full market entry process for new markets, including managing distributors, negotiating agreements, and overseeing regulatory certification activities to ensure compliance and successful launch
• Represent the company at international trade shows and industry events to generate new business opportunities and expand the distributor network
• Develop commercial and financial cases for new markets and key accounts by preparing budgets, pricing models, and return analyses to secure investment approval
• Gather and analyze market insights on competitors, regulations, and consumer trends to inform business planning and growth initiatives
• Monitor market entry performance by tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommending improvements to optimize results
• Collaborate closely with the supply chain team to coordinate export logistics, ensuring cost efficiency, timely delivery, and product shelf-life requirements are met

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience in the food manufacturing industry
• Proven success in establishing new distributor or partner networks in diverse markets
• Experience working across both developed and emerging markets
• Strong commercial and financial acumen
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to travel as required
