Mandatory Skills

Expert-level backend knowledge with junior-to-mid-level frontend capabilities

Required Backend Technical Skills

Note: Looking for candidates who have recent full stack experience and cannot have Data related experience
  • Strong proficiency in Java ( Java 21 ) with deep understanding of core concepts, coupled with expert-level Spring Boot framework knowledge (MVC, Data, Security, Cloud).
  • Strong understanding of modulith/microservices patterns and best practices,
alongside experience with relational databases (e.g., MariaDB , PostgreSQL) and SQL optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of RESTful API design principles and experience with message queues (Kafka, IBM MQ, etc.).
  • Proven expertise in unit testing and integration testing (JUnit, Mockito, Karate), and a strong understanding of design paerns and SOLID principles.

Required Frontend Technical Skills
  • Expert-level Typescript React 19 experience, demonstrating deep understanding of
hooks, context, and component lifecycle. Strong proficiency in Redux, Redux Toolkit (RTK), and RTK Query for state management and data fetching.
  • Expert-level knowledge of modern web technologies: Micro Frontend (MFE) architecture (Module Federation, Single-SPA), advanced HTML5, semantic markup, and expert-level CSS3 (Flexbox, Grid, responsive design, CSS-in-JS like Styled Components, Emotion).
  • Strong command of modern JavaScript/TypeScript (ES6+), frontend build tools (Webpack, Vite), and testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress,
Playwright).
  • Proven expertise in performance optimization (code splitting, lazy loading) and practical application of design systems and component libraries (e.g., Storybook) for consistency and efficiency across frontend engineering.

Brief Job Description

Overview

We seek a highly skilled Full Stack Software Engineer proficient in Java Spring Boot backend technologies and modern React frontend technologies. You will shape the future technical direction of user

journeys within Wealth Management, innovating financial applications for our internal users

and clients. At DBS, we foster continuous learning, encouraging technology exploration and

providing access to internal learning platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will design, develop, and maintain full stack applications using Java Spring Boot and React for our internal users and clients in Wealth Management.
  • You will build and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • You will implement and maintain Micro Frontend (MFE) architectures.
  • You will drive best practices across the entire technology stack.
  • You will collaborate with business analysts, project managers, business stakeholders, and other tech teams to integrate and deliver high-quality products.
  • You will troubleshoot complex production issues spanning frontend and backend.
  • You will drive technical innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • You will participate in system design discussions and contribute to the technical roadmap.
