We are seeking a motivated and adaptable Radio Frequency (RF) System Engineer to support the integration, testing, and deployment of RF systems for ongoing and upcoming projects. This role involves working with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful delivery of integrated systems that meet both technical and operational requirements. The candidate will be involved in system design reviews, on-site integration activities, and may support projects both locally and overseas. A strong foundation in system-level thinking, problem-solving, and cross-domain coordination is essential for success in this role.

Job Description

• Develop and optimise RF hardware systems for RF Sensing and spectrum monitoring, signal detection and analysis, direction finding and RF situation awareness applications.
• Evaluate, adapt, and operationalize emerging RF technologies for advanced applications.
• Leverage and customize open-source RF technologies, frameworks, and SDR ecosystems to support sophisticated RF solutions and mission requirements.
• Collaborate with clients, software developers, and other stakeholders to identify system requirements and ensure that proposed solutions meet those requirements.
• Manage or participate in new setup or upgrade of system/network infrastructure projects.
• Support operational systems to meet contractual Service Level Agreement
• Collaborate with software, AI/ML, embedded systems, and systems engineering teams to develop integrated spectrum solutions.
• Perform RF analysis including Link budget analysis, Interference analysis, Spectrum characterization, EMI/EMC considerations
• Stay current with advancements in RF sensing technologies, Cognitive EW systems, AI-enabled RF applications, Open-source SDR ecosystems, Emerging wireless standards and protocols
• Prepare technical documentation, test reports, design specifications, and engineering recommendations.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Computer Science/ Computer Engineering/ Information Technology or equivalent (If applicable)
• Conversant in RF Technologies for RF Sensing and Spectrum monitoring
• Familiarity with open-source RF ecosystems and tools such as GNU Radio, OpenCPI, SoapySDR, RFNoC and Open-source digital signal processing frameworks
• Experience with RF test equipment such as spectrum analysers, vector signal analysers, signal generators, oscilloscopes.
• Knowledge of embedded systems and hardware interfaces
• Relevant experience will be an added advantage

• Ability to work in a team environment
• Good team player with critical thinking, analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
