Solutions Engineer / Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE)

About the Role

We are representing our client in search for a Solutions Engineer / Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to work closely with enterprise, startup, academic and research customers.

You will act as the technical bridge between customers and our Product, Engineering and AI teams, helping customers identify opportunities where AI can solve complex business or research problems.

This is a hands-on role where you will combine customer-facing skills with software engineering, building customised AI solutions, integrations and workflows based on real customer needs.

You will have the opportunity to work with the latest LLM, AI Agent and AI-native development technologies in a fast-moving global environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to understand their business, technical and research requirements.
• Translate customer requirements into practical AI solutions and technical approaches.
• Build customised AI Agents, workflows, prompts and integrations for specific use cases.
• Develop APIs and integrate customer data sources, databases and third-party tools.
• Support POCs, testing, deployment and implementation of solutions.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure successful delivery in customer environments.
• Work closely with Product, Engineering and AI teams to improve solutions based on customer feedback.
• Provide ongoing technical support and build strong relationships with customers.
• Help turn successful POCs into scalable, long-term solutions.

Requirements

• 2–5+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Software Engineering, Technical Consulting, Implementation, Pre-sales Engineering or a similar role.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Go or TypeScript.
• Good understanding of APIs, web technologies, databases and system integration.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to understand and simplify complex customer requirements.
• Interest in AI, LLMs, AI Agents and emerging technologies.
• Comfortable working directly with customers and explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Experience as a Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Technical Consultant or Delivery Engineer.
• Experience working with enterprise, startup, university or research customers.
• Hands-on experience with LLM applications, AI Agents or Agentic Workflows.
• Familiarity with frameworks such as LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen or similar tools.
• Experience with data integration, ETL, knowledge bases or vector databases.
• Experience with Claude Code, Cursor or other AI-assisted coding tools.
• Experience delivering customised technology or AI solutions from 0 to 1.
