A globally recognized financial institution is seeking a Market Data Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-impact projects at the intersection of technology, trading, and data supporting the delivery of live and historical market data services across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive and manage the delivery of strategic market data projects from initiation to completion
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to define technical requirements and scope
• Write and review technical documentation including migration plans, runbooks, and exchange specs
• Lead the migration from legacy platforms to modern solutions
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to internal users on market data products and processes
• Communicate regularly with vendors, exchanges, and external providers to advocate for business needs
• Identify and resolve inefficiencies within team processes
• Maintain and manage team Kanban boards in Jira
• Provide clear, consistent progress updates to stakeholders and leadership

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of market data providers (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv/Reuters)
• Strong understanding of Linux operating systems
• Python skills are beneficial
• Ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence
