DevOps Engineer – Enterprise ICT Project

Location: Kota Damansara, Selangor

Work Arrangement: On-site

Employment Type: Contract – 12 Months (Renewable based on performance)

Experience: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to support the implementation, deployment and operation of secure, reliable and scalable application environments for a large-scale enterprise ICT project.

The successful candidate will work closely with development, infrastructure, data, AI/ML and security teams to implement CI/CD pipelines, containerised deployments, infrastructure automation, monitoring and secure deployment practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement, configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application deployment and release management.
• Automate application build, testing, deployment and release processes across multiple environments.
• Deploy and manage containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Manage Git-based repositories, version control, branching and release processes.
• Configure and support DevOps tools such as GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Support deployment of web applications, APIs, microservices, databases and data-related services.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible or equivalent tools.
• Support application environments across on-premise, cloud and hybrid infrastructure.
• Configure and maintain monitoring, logging and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Elastic Stack or equivalent.
• Monitor application health, system performance, availability and resource utilisation.
• Support NGINX, API gateways, load balancers and SSL/TLS configuration.
• Implement DevSecOps practices including vulnerability scanning, secrets management and secure configuration.
• Troubleshoot deployment, container, application and infrastructure-related issues.
• Support backup, recovery, high availability and disaster recovery activities.
• Support SIT, UAT, security testing and production deployment activities.
• Maintain deployment procedures, configuration documentation and operational guides.
• Collaborate with development and technical teams to resolve deployment and environment-related issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, System Engineering or related roles.
• Hands-on experience in CI/CD pipeline implementation and administration.
• Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Git, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions or equivalent tools.
• Good knowledge of Linux administration.
• Working knowledge of Bash, Python, PowerShell or other scripting languages.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible or equivalent Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Experience deploying and supporting web applications, APIs and microservices.
• Understanding of NGINX, API gateways, load balancing, SSL/TLS and networking concepts.
• Experience with monitoring and logging platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana and ELK/Elastic Stack.
• Exposure to cloud, on-premise or hybrid infrastructure environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB or equivalent databases will be an advantage.

• Exposure to data analytics, data engineering or AI/ML environments.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise ICT environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation and stakeholder collaboration skills.
