Part-Time Assistant Teacher – Arts & Creative Activities

1-Year Contract | 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Location: Near Bras Basah MRT, within walking distance

Employment Type: Part-Time, 1-Year Contract

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM

About the Role

We are an international preschool located within walking distance of Bras Basah MRT, and we are looking for a creative, enthusiastic and dedicated Part-Time Assistant Teacher to join our team on a 1-year contract.

We are particularly looking for someone with a good eye for art, design and aesthetics, who enjoys hands-on creative work and working with young children.

The ideal candidate will support our teachers in preparing and conducting creative activities, creating classroom displays and decorations, and preparing engaging materials for our children.

Key Responsibilities

-Assist teachers with afternoon classroom activities and routines.

-Support the planning and implementation of art, craft and creative activities.

-Prepare creative learning materials, props and teaching resources.

-Create attractive and engaging classroom displays and learning environments.

-Prepare artwork, craft pieces and decorations for classroom themes and school events.

-Assist teachers in setting up age-appropriate activities.

-Support children during classroom, outdoor and enrichment activities.

-Assist with school celebrations, projects and special events.

-Help maintain an organised and stimulating classroom environment.

-Support the care, safety and supervision of children.

-Work collaboratively with teachers and the preschool team.

-Carry out other duties related to the daily operations of the preschool.

Requirements

-A genuine interest in arts, crafts, design and creative activities.

-A good eye for aesthetics, colour, design and presentation.

-Creative, artistic and hands-on.

-Enjoys working with young children.

-Patient, responsible and positive in attitude.

-Good teamwork and communication skills.

-Previous experience working with children or in a preschool setting is an advantage.

Able to commit to a 1-year contract.

Able to work Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
