The Graduate Mechanical Engineer will undergo structured development in marine and shipyard engineering operations while supporting the company's engineering digitalization and productivity initiatives.
The successful candidate will:
- Support mechanical engineering activities for shipbuilding, ship repair and marine/offshore projects.
- Prepare engineering drawings, layouts and fabrication/installation details using AutoCAD 2D/3D.
- Assist with mechanical equipment installation, inspection, testing, alignment and commissioning.
- Support engineering activities involving pumps, motors, rotating machinery, piping and other mechanical systems.
- Assist engineers with technical calculations, material planning, work sequencing and engineering documentation.
- Prepare technical reports, inspection records, progress reports and project documentation.
- Analyse project man-hours, productivity, equipment utilization, quality and rework data.
- Develop engineering and management dashboards using Excel and/or Power BI.
- Support automation of engineering reports and data analysis using Python or similar tools.
- Participate in productivity, energy-efficiency and engineering-improvement projects.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, supervisors, production teams and clients on project requirements.
- Participate in site activities and structured on-the-job training within marine/shipyard environments.
