JOB SUMMARY

The Assistant QA Engineer supports the implementation and maintenance of the organization's Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) systems to ensure that products, materials, or projects meet established quality standards and customer requirements.

The role involves assisting with inspections, testing, documentation, and quality audits, identifying non-conformities, and supporting corrective actions. The Assistant QA Engineer works closely with engineering, production, and project teams to promote continuous improvement and compliance with applicable quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, customer-specific requirements, and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

• Assist in following up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

• Coordinate and prepare documentation required for internal, external, customer, certification, and regulatory audits, ensuring all records are complete and readily available.

• Monitor and follow up on nonconformities, corrective actions, preventive actions, and quality improvement initiatives to ensure timely implementation and closure.

• Assist in investigating quality issues, customer complaints, and nonconformities by participating in root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.

Support Incoming raw material related quality issues and liaise with supplier for CAPA.

• Support change control activities, risk assessments and continuous improvement projects to enhance the effectiveness of the Quality Management System.

• Collect and maintain quality data, preparing reports and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for management review.

• Provide guidance and support to Quality Control (QC) Inspectors and other departments on quality documentation, procedures, and audit readiness.

• Work closely with production, engineering, purchasing, and other cross- functional teams to resolve quality-related issues and promote continual improvement.

• Participate in quality awareness programs and support employee training on QMS requirements, documentation practices, and quality standards.

• Perform other quality assurance, quality management, and engineering- related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or management.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma in Engineering (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical or a related discipline).

• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; 1–2 years of relevant work experience is an advantage.

• Basic knowledge of engineering principles, standards, and industry practices.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

• Good documentation and record-keeping practices.

• Continuous improvement mindset.
