Chief Cook – Roles and Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare daily meals according to menu requirements and food quality standards.
• Supervise kitchen staff and assign daily cooking and preparation duties.
• Ensure food is prepared, cooked, and presented according to required standards.
• Monitor food inventory and coordinate the ordering of ingredients and supplies.
• Maintain proper food hygiene, kitchen cleanliness, and workplace safety standards.
• Check the freshness and quality of ingredients before use.
• Control food portions and minimize food wastage and unnecessary costs.
• Train and guide junior cooks and kitchen assistants in cooking and hygiene procedures.
• Ensure kitchen equipment and utensils are properly cleaned, maintained, and safely used.
• Coordinate with management to accommodate special meal requirements and operational needs.
