About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Python Developer (5+ years) to join our dynamic engineering team in Singapore. In this role, you will play a critical part in strengthening our core security infrastructure, focusing on Microsegmentation Policy Engines and Vulnerability Management & Patching.
You will design high-performance APIs, build robust synchronization logic, remediate complex security vulnerabilities, and drive the adoption of cutting-edge AI and automation practices. Key ResponsibilitiesPolicy Engine & API Development
- API & System Design: Design and implement high-performance APIs for downstream systems to consume policy information and access decisions.
- Core Synchronization: Develop resilient synchronization processes between the core policy engine and individual third-party or vendor security products.
- Onboarding & Monitoring: Support application and infrastructure onboarding to ensure high data quality; establish operational monitoring, structured logging, proactive alerting, and performance reporting using tools like Splunk.
Vulnerability Management & System Security
- Security Enhancement: Implement security fixes and enhancements for the internally developed host-based firewall policy and control system.
- Triage & Remediation: Review, triage, and remediate security vulnerabilities across codebases, dependencies, and build configurations identified via code scanning tools.
- Secure Coding: Enforce Secure Coding Practices and validate security patches through thorough unit, integration, and regression testing.
- Release Management: Support production deployment cycles, change management procedures, and maintain accurate technical documentation and release notes.
Engineering & AI Integration
- Modern Development: Apply modern software engineering methodologies (TDD, Agile/Scrum) to build clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- AI & Automation: Leverage open-source AI frameworks (PyTorch, LangChain, MCP, RAG) to optimize internal workflows and support intelligent automation initiatives.
What We Are Looking ForMust-Have / Required Skills
- Experience: 5+ years of professional software development experience using Python.
- Testing & Quality: Strong familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and automated unit/integration testing methodologies.
- CI/CD & Version Control: Hands-on experience with version control (Git) and build/deployment pipelines (Jenkins, TeamCity).
- Databases: Proficiency in database design and querying across RDBMS, NoSQL, or Graph Databases.
- AI/ML Frameworks: Hands-on experience with modern open-source AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch and LangChain.
- Agile Methodology: Proven experience working within Agile/Scrum frameworks (Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Retrospectives).
Desired / Good-to-Have Skills
- Generative AI & ML: Good understanding of core AI/ML concepts and practical experience with GenAI technologies (Fine-tuning, Distillation, Retrieval-Augmented Generation [RAG], MCP, A2A).
- Cybersecurity & Infrastructure: Background in cybersecurity, secure coding standards, and vulnerability remediation for host-based firewalls or network systems.
- Cross-Stack Knowledge: Basic familiarity with Java APIs and React Frontend for cross-functional collaboration.
- Data & Scripting: Strong data engineering concepts alongside proficiency in scripting languages (Shell, Regular Expressions).
- Cloud & DevOps: Familiarity with Linux environments, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), configuration management (Ansible), and Public Cloud management.
