Job Summary:


IT Project Manager (Junior / Associate)


Looking for a motivated and driven IT Project Manager for Day 1 Professional Services - this role is ideal for candidates with experience in IT implementation, systems integration, infrastructure, network, cloud, cybersecurity, or enterprise application projects who are keen to build a career in project management.


Job role requires you to work independently on smaller projects, as well as alongside experienced Project Managers for more complex projects, to plan, coordinate and deliver IT implementation projects for enterprise customers across various industries. This role offers excellent exposure to project delivery, customer engagement, and leadership development.


Responsibilities:

  • Involved in planning, coordinating, and managing IT implementation projects from initiation through project closure.
  • Responsible for delivering projects on schedule, and according to agreed scope and quality standards, ensuring successful delivery and customer acceptance.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, work breakdown structures (WBS), implementation schedules, and project documentation.
  • Track project progress against milestones and proactively follow up on outstanding action items.
  • Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies, and work with the project team to implement mitigation plans.
  • Coordinate with customers, consultants, technology principals, subcontractors, vendors, and internal delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Build strong working relationships with customers and project stakeholders through professional communication and timely updates.
  • Escalate project issues promptly and work collaboratively with stakeholders to drive resolution.
  • Ensure project activities comply with internal delivery processes, governance standards, and customer requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve project execution and operational efficiency.
  • Deliver a positive customer experience through proactive communication and professional project management.
  • Coordinate post-implementation activities including documentation handover, operational readiness, and transition to support teams where applicable.


Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • 1–3 years of experience in IT implementation, systems integration, infrastructure, network, cloud, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, or related technical projects.
  • Candidates with experience as a Systems Engineer, Network Engineer, Implementation Engineer, Technical Consultant, Project Coordinator, or similar roles are encouraged to apply.
  • Good understanding of the IT project lifecycle and implementation methodologies.
  • Strong planning, coordination, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project or equivalent project management tools.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong presentation and documentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, responsible, and willing to take ownership of assigned tasks.
  • Customer-oriented with a proactive mindset in resolving issues.
  • Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.


Preferred Qualifications (Advantageous but Not Mandatory)

  • Knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure, networking, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, data centre technologies, or enterprise software solutions.
  • Basic understanding of project management practices, including scheduling, risk management, and project reporting.
  • PMP, PRINCE2 Foundation, Agile, Scrum, or equivalent certifications are an advantage but not required.
