WE’RE HIRING: DEPUTY PROJECT MANAGER (MEP / DATA CENTER)

Are you an experienced MEP Project Leader with a strong background in Data Center infrastructure? We are looking for a high-caliber Deputy Project Manager to oversee critical hyperscale/datacenter MEP projects in Selangor, Malaysia.

JOB OVERVIEW

Position: Deputy Project Manager (MEP)

Location: KVTP, Selangor, Malaysia

Monthly Salary: MYR 12,000 – MYR 15,000

Industry: Data Center Construction / MEP Engineering

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Full Lifecycle Project Management: Lead end-to-end delivery of projects across Southeast Asia—from tender & bidding support, detailed design review, procurement (equipment, materials, subcontracts), and construction setup to cost control, EHS management, schedule, quality/documentation, testing & commissioning (T&C), and client handover.

Target Achievement: Drive project execution to consistently meet safety, quality, timeline, and profit margin objectives.

Stakeholder Management: Serve as a key interface with Clients, Consultants, PMCs, and local authorities to ensure smooth project operations and regulatory compliance.

Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and manage high-performing project teams, including conducting regular performance evaluations.

Continuous Improvement: Lead periodic project retrospectives to capture and implement key lessons learned across current and future pipelines.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Engineering, HVAC, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience: Proven project management experience in Data Center MEP projects, with deep familiarity with mission-critical systems (e.g., Chillers, UPS, Generators/Gensets, High/Low Voltage systems).

Core Competencies:

Strong technical understanding and site problem-solving capabilities.

Exceptional vendor, contractor, and resource coordination skills.

Deep understanding of project financial control and compliance management.

Language: Fluent in English (spoken & written); additional language capabilities are a plus.
