Role Description The Quantity Surveyor is a full-time, on-site role based in Seremban, responsible for managing costs and contracts across construction projects. Day-to-day tasks include preparing cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents, as well as evaluating quotations from suppliers and subcontractors. The role involves monitoring project budgets, tracking variations, preparing progress claims, and verifying subcontractor payments to ensure cost control and contractual compliance. The Quantity Surveyor will coordinate closely with project managers, site teams, and external stakeholders, attend site meetings, and assist in resolving contractual and commercial issues. The role also includes maintaining accurate documentation, supporting project reporting, and contributing to continuous improvement of cost management practices.
Qualifications

• Relevant academic background, such as a diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of construction cost estimation, tender preparation, and contract administration, including familiarity with standard forms of contract.
• Proficiency in measurement and preparation of bills of quantities, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Ability to analyze quotations, negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors, and manage project budgets and cost control effectively.
• Competence in using MS Excel and other relevant software for cost analysis, reporting, and documentation; experience with QS or construction-related software is an advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with project teams, consultants, and clients.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
• Willingness to work on-site in Seremban and attend site visits and meetings as required; possession of a valid driving license is beneficial.
• Prior experience in construction or quantity surveying is an advantage, though motivated early-career professionals are encouraged to apply.
