Job Responsibilities

* Lead and manage the overall production operations to achieve production targets, quality standards, delivery schedules, and cost objectives.

* Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and manpower allocation to maximize productivity and efficiency.

* Monitor and improve production performance through effective planning, resource utilization, and continuous improvement initiatives.

* Ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems, safety regulations, environmental requirements, and company policies.

* Drive Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and other operational excellence initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

* Coordinate closely with Sales, Planning, Purchasing, Warehouse, Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality departments to ensure smooth production flow.

* Monitor production costs, raw material consumption, machine efficiency, and labour productivity to achieve cost control objectives.

* Analyse production data and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly management reports with improvement action plans.

* Lead investigations into production issues, quality concerns, customer complaints, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

* Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are carried out to minimise machine downtime.

* Develop, coach, and evaluate Production Supervisors and production staff to build a high-performing team.

* Manage production budgets, KPIs, and departmental performance.

* Ensure all production activities comply with ISO standards and customer requirements.

* Support new product development, process improvements, and capacity expansion projects.

* Perform any other duties assigned by Management.

Job Requirements

* Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.

* Minimum 5–8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.

* Strong leadership, people management, and decision-making skills.

* Proven experience in production planning, process improvement, and team development.

* Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.

* Familiar with ISO 9001, quality management systems, and workplace safety regulations.

* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems.

* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

* Experience in the wood products, pallet, plywood, packaging, or timber manufacturing industry will be an added advantage.

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
