Overview Of The Role:

• The Sales Advisor plays a key role in ensuring exceptional customer service and driving sales through effective communication, product knowledge, and merchandising. They are responsible for maintaining an inviting environment for customers while maximizing sales through selling techniques and efficient product handling. Adapting to store needs, Sales Advisors support stock management, uphold health and safety standards, and embody the company's values.
  
  

What You Will Do:

Customer Service

• Provide assistance to customers in a friendly manner.
• Ensure high standards of customer service as per M&S Way principles: All In For The Customer, Make Every Penny Count, Talk Straight, Own It And Get It Done.
• Ensure customers feel comfortable, welcome, and are courteously served.
  
  

Selling

• Achieve sales through good salesmanship and provide excellent service and product information.
• Communicate seasonal highlights and promotions to improve sales.
• Handle and display products according to seasonal guidelines and planograms.
• Develop product knowledge through training and briefings.
• Ensure efficient replenishment to minimize lost sales opportunities.
• Provide feedback and contribute ideas to improve sales to superior.
  
  

Merchandise Management

• Manage accurate stock movements including delivery checks and stock transfers.
• Count merchandise and complete documents efficiently and accurately.
• Provide immediate feedback to superior on stock shortages.
  
  

Job Knowledge

• Operate till efficiently and accurately, handling cash and credit cards correctly.
• Suggest products and promote benefits using product knowledge.
  
  

Cost Control

• Be alert to prevent pilferage and stock loss on the sales floor and fitting rooms.
• Report internal pilferage by staff or shoplifters to management.
• Use company property with care to avoid wasting resources.
  
  

Health & Safety

• Be safety conscious at all times.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
• Maintain a safe and hygienic environment on the sales floor and back of house.
  
  

Other Responsibilities

• Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by managers.

• Excellent customer service skills.

What Qualifies You For The Role:

• Fashion-savvy with retail experience preferred.
• Possess a pleasant and cheerful disposition.
• Able to work on rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Conversant in English, with WSQ Retail Qualifications encouraged.
