Job Description :

The SCADA Platform and Development team deliver industry-leading business capabilities and computational sciences to our field production assets through proprietary, commercial-grade software. We are looking for passionate, self-starting team members who will challenge the status quo and always be willing to learn and contribute in new ways. The Field SCADA Engineer position is located primarily in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This position requires active collaboration with field technicians or operators, terminal operations, engineers, developers, and other stake holders to deliver software and hardware solutions that support global upstream and midstream operations. In this role, you will participate in all aspects of SCADA Engineering, including work planning, requirements gathering, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.

2.Job Responsibilities :

Collaborate with engineers, data managers, and other software developers to define, build, and deliver solutions to our most challenging upstream unconventional business problems

Architect, implement, deploy, and support SCADA systems like Ignition

Continue to learn and share software industry best practices with team members

3.Primary skill set :-

Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment with software developers and domain experts

Minimum of 3 years of experience developing, deploying, and supporting SCADA systems

Proficiency in one or more of the following SCADA platforms; Red Lions, Ignition Vision or Ignition Perspective

Proficiency in one or more of the following Firewall platforms; Cisco ASA, Cisco FTD, Palo Alto, Eagle One

4.Nice to Have skill sets :

Experience building, deploying, and supporting Ignition screens using Python

Prior work experience in the oil and gas industry

Prior work experience with large scale data management systems

Experience working on teams following Agile software development methodologies

Experience participating in the user centered design process

5.Soft skill sets :

Problem solving/analytical skill

Communication with global team users/team members

Proven experience in E2E problem determination/troubleshooting application issues

Strong & assertive communicator in speaking & writing

Ability to learn quickly and work independently or as part of a team

Able to work with sense of urgency under multiple deadlines and complete tasks with minimal supervision

Flexible and being able to manage time effectively

On-call details (if any) :

1. Frequency – How many rotations a month? - Monthly

2. Duration – How many days in each rotation? - KL primary: 11:00–20:00 MYT = 03:00–12:00 UTC (rotated among 3 personnel) ; no weekend coverage

3. Hours – Time of on-call support? - 9 hours

4. Workload during on-call - Medium to Low
