About the role
TEQ Lighting Sdn Bhd is seeking a Business Development Assistant to join our dynamic sales team in George Town, Penang. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in supporting our new business development initiatives and driving growth across our market. As a Business Development Assistant, you will be instrumental in identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and supporting the development of our sales pipeline. Key Responsibilities

1. Marketing & Promotion

• Assist in planning and executing marketing strategies

• Support promotional activities such as roadshows, exhibitions, and events

• Manage and update online marketing channels (social media, website, Google reviews, etc.)

• Assist in creating marketing materials and advertisements

2. Sales Support & Customer Engagement

• Welcome and attend to customers professionally

• Liaise and communicate with customers to understand their needs

• Follow up on inquiries, quotations, and orders

• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth order processing

3. Product Knowledge & Demonstration

• Learn and understand company products (stage lighting systems and solutions)

• Be able to explain and promote products clearly to customers

• Conduct basic product demonstrations when required

4. General Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing quotations, proposals, and reports

• Maintain customer database and records

• Support daily office operations and team activities

• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred)

• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Willing to learn and able to work independently

• Interest in stage lighting, events, or technical products is an advantage

• Basic knowledge of social media and digital marketing tools
