Job Description
Responsibilities
• Project Implementation and Solution Preparation:
o Assist Technical Consultants with customer discovery, information gathering, preimplementation
checklists, meeting notes, action logs, and follow-up items.
o Support Pre-Implementation Validation (PIV), solution preparation, deployment planning, test
execution, and acceptance activities by collecting and validating required technical information.
o Assist with the installation, configuration, and validation of OpenShift environments according to
approved runbooks, including nodes, namespaces/projects, operators, user access, basic
networking, storage, and monitoring components.
o Assist with AAP setup and configuration activities, including inventories, projects, credentials,
execution environments, job templates, schedules, workflows, and role-based access controls
under supervision.
o Execute approved test cases, collect screenshots and validation evidence, update build records,
and report results or exceptions promptly to the assigned Technical Consultant.
o Prepare and maintain deployment checklists, implementation runbooks, test records, handover
documents, and outstanding action-item lists for review by
senior team members.
• Technical Support and Incident Management:
o Provide first-line technical support for OpenShift and AAP environments in accordance with
approved support procedures and escalate issues outside the assigned scope promptly.
o Perform routine platform health checks, service verification, log collection, certificate checks,
capacity checks, and basic monitoring activities using approved checklists and tools.
o Assist with the diagnosis of common issues involving pods, deployments, namespaces, operators,
DNS, ingress, storage, authentication, and Ansible job execution by gathering accurate diagnostic
information.
o Support planned maintenance activities such as patching, configuration changes, backup validation,
version upgrades, and security remediation under the direction of a Technical Consultant or
technical lead.
o Record incidents, service requests, troubleshooting steps, findings, actions taken, and resolutions
accurately in the designated service-management system to support SLA compliance.
o Coordinate with internal teams and customer technical contacts to obtain logs, configuration details,
access, and other information required for effective issue resolution.
• Platform Operations, Automation and Integration:
o Develop, test, and update simple Ansible playbooks, inventories, variables, templates, and job
templates by following team coding standards, Git-based version-control practices, and review
processes.
o Support the maintenance of AAP components such as automation controller, private automation
hub, execution environments, projects, credentials, job templates, schedules, workflows, and
notifications under supervision.
o Assist with automation activities involving Linux servers, VMware, Git repositories, ITSM systems,
APIs, databases, monitoring tools, and identity services using approved designs and reusable
components.
o Support application or infrastructure teams with container onboarding activities, including image
registries, namespaces, RBAC, resource requests and limits, persistent storage, and day-2
operational requirements.
o Follow established security and operational standards for access control, secrets handling,
certificate management, auditability, backup validation, and configuration management.
• Customer Engagement and Knowledge Sharing:
o Assist Technical Consultants and technical lead with customer workshops, demonstrations, solution
walkthroughs, training sessions, and knowledge-transfer activities.
o Communicate assigned technical progress, issues, risks, and next steps clearly and professionally
to internal teams and customer technical contacts, with guidance where required.
o Create and update technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, standard operating
procedures, build records, knowledge-base articles, and customer handover materials.
o Participate actively in technical training, hands-on labs, peer reviews, and internal knowledge
sharing sessions to strengthen OpenShift, Ansible, Linux, and automation skills.
o Contribute reusable scripts, templates, troubleshooting notes, and lessons learned to the team
knowledge base after review and approval.
Qualifications: Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent related technical field.
Relevant Industry Experience: Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of relevant experience in an IT support, infrastructure, cloud, automation, or technical services environment are encouraged to apply. Candidate with 1 or more year on the similar field or project experience in Linux, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Ansible, or automation is an advantage.
Technical Expertise:
• Basic understanding of Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes concepts, including cluster components,
nodes, namespaces/projects, pods, deployments, services, routes/ingress, operators, and basic
application troubleshooting.
• Basic familiarity with container technologies and runtime concepts, including Docker or Podman,
container images, image registries, image security, and container build practices.
• Basic hands-on exposure to Ansible and Ansible Automation Platform, including playbooks, roles,
variables, inventories, credentials, projects, job templates, schedules, workflows, and execution
environments.
• Foundation-level knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux or compatible Linux distributions, including
command-line administration, package management, system services, user access, filesystems,
permissions, log review, and troubleshooting.
• Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, NTP, VLANs, routing, proxy configuration,
firewalls, certificates/TLS, and basic diagnostic tools.
• Awareness of infrastructure integrations such as virtualisation, storage, identity services, monitoring,
logging, and backup solutions.
• Familiarity with Git and DevOps tools such as GitLab, Bitbucket, GitHub, Jenkins, Argo CD, Tekton,
Terraform, or equivalent tools is an advantage.
• Basic scripting exposure using Bash, Python, or PowerShell, with a willingness to develop automation
and troubleshooting capability.
• Exposure to monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, Loki,
Elasticsearch, OpenTelemetry, or equivalent tools is an advantage.
• Awareness of cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, or Red Hat OpenShift
cloud services is an advantage.
Preferred Experience:
• Entry-level experience supporting Linux, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Ansible, cloud, or automation-related
environments.
• Exposure to virtualisation, storage, databases, middleware, web servers, APIs, monitoring systems, or
system-management tools.
• Participation in technical workshops, implementation projects, support operations, customer-facing
activities, or technology-related training programmes.
• Interest in DevOps, GitOps, observability, cloud-native application platforms, security, high availability,
and disaster recovery practices.
Certifications:
Preferably with one or more certifications, completed training courses, or active learning
paths below:
• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or equivalent Linux foundation
certification
• Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, Ansible Automation Platform, automation, infrastructure-as-code, or
DevOps introductory training or certification
